Football betting - Sunday Premier League

Aston Villa vs Middlesbrough

Venue: Villa Park
Date: Sunday, 9 November
Kick-off: 1500 GMT

Middlesbrough have a good recent record at Villa Park, where they  two wins, two draws and just a single defeat in the last five. Martin O’Neill’s men had to travel to Newcastle and Prague in the last week so Boro should have the edge in terms of freshness.

Aston Villa are unbeaten at home this season but Middlesbrough are worth a small bet at 9/2.

Betting Verdict: Middlesbrough to get at least one point from this clash

Blackburn vs Chelsea

Venue: Ewood Park
Date: Sunday, 9 November
Kick-off: 1330 GMT

The Premier League’s draw specialists, Blackburn Rovers host The Blues, on the 60th birthday of Chelsea’s manager Luis Felipe Scolari. The match brings together the weakest defence and sharpest attack in the highest league (going into this 12th round of fixtures).

The Londoners have twice as many points as Blackburn (26 to 13), and are aiming to uphold the Premier League’s one remaining 100% away record, and the only unbeaten top-flight away record in 2008.

Chelsea are undefeated in six league and cup matches with Blackburn over the past two seasons.

Chelsea look a strong bet on the handicap.

Betting Verdict: Chelsea to beat the one goal handicap

Possible correct scores: 1-3; 2-4

Fulham v Newcastle

Venue: Craven Cottage
Date: Sunday, 9 November
Kick-off: 1600 GMT

Fulham have failed to win six of their last seven Premier League matches, and now face a Newcastle side chasing a third successive league win.

The Magpies head for London eager to improve on two successive defeats in the capital and gain their first away win of this Premier League season.

The Cottagers have only picked up two Premier League points from a last possible 24 against North-East clubs, since beating Newcastle 2-1 at home on 3 February 2007.

Newcastle did the double over Fulham last season, reversing Fulham’s achievement in the previous campaign.

It’s a tough game to call from a betting perspective.

Betting verdict: Draw

Possible correct score: 1- 1

Man City v Tottenham

Venue: City of Manchester Stadium
Date: Sunday, 9 November
Kick-off: 1500 GMT

Spurs drew 4-4 with Arsenal in their last away game and have netted 12 in four games since Harry Redknapp took over. Darren Bent has found the back of the net in three of those four matches, including a memorable hat-trick against Dinamo Zagreb last time out, and has also registered in his last two away games in the Premier League.

City have suffered successive 0-2 defeats and are in danger of tumbling to their longest losing run since ending last season with three consecutive defeats.  A home defeat would also mean Manchester City had reached an unwanted milestone. It would be their 1,500th loss in League football

According to the head to head stats, Manchester City’s only victories in 22 Premier League games against Tottenham were 5-2 on 22 October 1994 at home, 0-2 at the Lane on 18 April 2003 and the 2-1 home triumph eight months ago. Tottenham dismissed the Citizens on their way to winning the Carling Cup last season; a 0-2 victory at Eastlands in the quarter-finals on 18 December 2007.

Given those stats, a high scoring draw wouldn’t surprise anyone.

Betting Verdict: Draw

Possible correct scores: 3-3, 4-4

Netherlands vs Russia quarter final at EURO 2008

Saturday, June 21st, 2008

This game will be won by The Netherland team.

Netherlands have striker which play well and most important play well together.

Russia have good strikers but they are individual players. Spain were over  them all the game. Greece, they did not score until the goalkeeper made a mistake. With Sweden they attack a lot, but the strikers play individual games. If they combine more they can made some hard times for The Netherlands, but I did not view this from Russian strikers at EURO 2008

That is why I think that The Netherlands will win this quarter final and will play the semifinals at EURO 2008

Bundesliga Betting Preview – Matchday 29 (Apr 25-27, 2008)

April 26, 2008  Hambuger SV vs. Schalke 04 <Schalke Look to Close Ranks After Slomka Exit>

On Saturday Schalke 04 face their first real test since the departure of Mirko Slomka on April 13th, when they go on the road to face Hamburg, looking to dislodge them from third place. The Royal Blues’ recent 5-1 defeat by Werder Bremen was the catalyst for Slomka’s sacking, but outside of that defeat their league form has actually been fairly solid, unbeaten in the previous three away outings. They reacted well under make-shift management, taking care of Schalke until the end of the season, beating Cottbus 5-0 at home two days after the reshuffle, with four goals from Kevin Kuranyi.

Having lost just once at home this season Hamburg should provide a stern test of Schalke’s resilience, but the Rothosen (Red Shorts) are looking to end a five game run without victory. The poor end of season spell is particularly disappointing, as they could have taken advantage of indifferent form of those clubs around them and moved into the second automatic Champions League qualification berth. Ivica Olic missed a penalty in their recent 0-0 draw with Hertha Berlin, underlining a lack of confidence, while their manager, Huub Stevens, has understandably been distracted by his wife’s serious illness. The sides drew 1-1 last November, 2007.

April 27, 2008  Bayern Munich vs. Stuttgart < Changing Of the Guard at the Allianz Arena?>

Sunday’s game at the Allianz Arena between Bayern Munich and visiting Stuttgart, could signal a changing of the guard in German football. Stuttgart were surprise Champions last season, while Munich struggled, but big summer signings have born fruit for Germany’s biggest club. Luca Toni – or ‘Il Bomber’ as he is now called - has been in excellent recent form, scoring eight times in his last four games, including both goals in the 2-1 extra time DFB German Cup final win over Borussia last Saturday.

Given their comfortable position 10 points clear at the top of the table, boss Ottmar Hitzfeld, may be tempted to rest some of his stars, ahead of the UEFA Cup second leg semi-final in Russia four days after this fixture. The Bavarians have work to do in that competition, having drawn 1-1 in the home leg. Hitzfeld must balance that option with the knowledge that just two more league wins will make the Bundesliga title a mathematical certainty. Bayern Munich hammered Borussia Dortmund 5-0 at the Allianz Arena two weeks ago, sending out a clear warning to Stuttgart that they mean business at home. VFB boss, Armin Veh, conceded the title some time ago, but he can still have serious claims on second or third spot, but must see out the season with maximum points.

Sparta vs Groningen - Eredivisie an Over2.5?!

Saturday, December 29th, 2007

Today in Holland Eredivisie is only a game. A interesting point of view regarding this is the number of goals. Groningen away in all games have an Over 2.5

Both team have a average(GF+GA) of more than 2 goals/game.

Sparta in all games have an average of 3.75 and at home a 3 goals average.

Groningen have a average for all games of 3.06, and away an incredible 4.5. Before last game away (with Heracles 1-2) there were 3 consecutive games with 6 goals in each game all lost at NEC 5-1, RODA 5-1 and Heerenveen 4-2.

Serbia vs Poland last game for them in qualify

The Serbian team receive only one goal at home in this qualifications.
There missing some great players from the Poland team ” Key Poland players not travelling: Smolarek top scorer in qualifiers, Krzynowek - v crucial player, Boruc - no1 keeper, Zurawski - captain and Saganowsk”

In this conditions, a key player from our website suggest Poland not to score, 2.10 at bwin.

Mandalskamerat looks forward to getting their 4th win of the season

Saturday, September 22nd, 2007

After a poor and disappointing start of the season, Mandalskamerat seems to have improved a lot, judging by their recent results. Although they still hold the last position in the Norwegian second league table, with 13 points and a negative goal range (30 goals scored and 68 goals received), we have strong reasons to believe that Mandalskamerat is in a surprising uptrend. They recorded a 4-1 away win, at Raufoss, 2 rounds ago and a 3-0 win over Lov Ham at home, last round. Their fantastic away win over Raufoss should give them the confidence they seem to have lacked this season.

On the other side, Sogndal is in an obvious downtrend lately. They haven’t won a single match in their last 9 meetings (3 draws and 6 defeats). Mandalskamerat should and has the ability to overcome their opponent. Tradition is also on their side, as they lost only one of their previous 4 encounters against Sogndal, having won one match and drawn twice. Mandalskamerat will get at least one point from this clash.
